Batten down the hatches!
We've had some pretty horrific gales blowing - apparently it was hurricane force just up the coast, and if we have any members in Carlisle they'll be sitting in a dingy tonight, I presume.
So rainy over Europe...

Power's out throughout my region apparently, but not in the city. Good luck to everyone suffering.

This morning we found our garden table deposited a good 15 feet from where it should be standing, in the middle of the lawn.
I heard on the news that there been some really rough weather in Latvia, and other Baltic states - I do hope you've not been hit too badly in Talin.

Here in York, the river Ouse is 4.3 metres higher than normal!
(Still not as bad as the flooding we had in Nov 2000 though.)

Norfolk might be flat, but so far unaffected.
