In the middle of last year a couple of people got letters returned. The wording was odd and I didn't understand why the letter was returned, but it was either (a) because they'd gone on holiday and so couldn't pick up the mail (surely that's wrong, as wouldn't the post office would save the mail indefinitely as long as the box was paid for?), (b) maybe payment on the p.o. box lapsed, or (c) they've shut up shop.
Shortly before that, someone who did get a reply said that they were selling all sorts of old t-shirts from old tours. I'm not sure whether that's good or bad - maybe they sold off all the old stock and closed. Maybe someone should write again and see what happens.

Thanks Dan!
I so desperately want a shirt after selling all 40
(FORTY) of mine due to poverty at one point in my life

I sent an SAE and catalogue request on Sept 14 of last year and on Sept 22 they (post office) sent it back to me with a sticker on it and a box checked "gone away"
perhaps I'll try again because I want shirts too!

Ah that was it. "Gone Away". What the hell does gone away mean?

Donno. Thought it was a British thing. Maybe you could call a post office there and ask what "Gone Away" connotes exactly...

It means that the addressee is no longer an occupant of the premises you sent the letter to.

Or if it's a PO box, that it's no longer being paid for.

Kinda makes you wonder how long it will be before the official site ceases to be paid for...

23 Sept 2005 if they don't renew the domain.

The fact you know that is both sad and rather scary...

I wrote a carefully worded note last year (or was it two years ago) and never heard a thing.
I have to respect a band that can't even be bothered answering questions about where the find a freaking t-shirt. That's dedication.
I guess he prefers we buy the knockoffs on eBay, or someone's ancient, crusty tour t-shirt.

They will be back in business with the new gigs, won't they? What'll be the prices for t-shirts, do you guess (or what should the prices be like
)?

I've posted this before but interestingley the postcode quoted for The Reptile House is for the studio (
http://pravdauk.com/) that Adam owns in Headingley (just outside Leeds for those who don't know).
So, I've just called the guy there called Matt.
Matt didn't know that it was the case as "I didn't know that & I don't deal with any of Adam's Sisters stuff anyway". However, he said anything that he gets in the post with 'The Reptile House' quoted on goes straight in the post to Adam in Germany.
So, (deeeep breath) Adam's either a lazy ignorant git or he's lost all interest full stop!!!

Best (only?) chance of official t-shirts these days (other than the sweaty numbers on ebay) is to turn up at one of the gigs, and buy a nasty poorly designed tour shirt (see Event Horizon, Summer2002, etc).
That said, the yellow number from 2000 is groovy, as is the shut.the.f**k.up white hoodie.
What's left of the old stock is usually available at the gigs.

I quite like my girlie People's Republic Of W.Y. T-shirt in DIRTY GREEN
But nothing beats Turbonegro's girlie "Fxxk The World Save St Pauli!" with that cute skull!!!

Yep, that's another cool one, though mine is neither girlie nor dirty green (more's the pity). Though alarmingly it seems to confuse the locals in my local.
