Now, what can I say about Rhombus, apart from the fact that they're really rather good in a Jethro-meets-Peter Kaye sort of way. Not that they're at all amusing. No no no. Perish the thought. Far too much angst and scocial conscience and care in the community for that. They do know how to bang out a good tune or two though. Try it, you might like it. If not, you could always ask Ed for your money back.

Right then. Friday 20th May, CJ's, Kirkstall, Leeds. It's in my diary. If I don't make it, it's time for boudicca's revenge.
Try it, you might like it.
Tracks 3, 4 and 5 on the Attention Seeker CD are outstanding. Nice work guys.

About what time will The Mighty Rhombus be hitting the wall? I don't want to get there late and miss you after all the trouble I've taken to re-arrange my hectic social calendar.

It looks like there will be 3 bands on - we have the middle slot, and I believe we're on sometime around 9pm. The other two bands are called Shearwater and Pigzipper (headlining). I have no idea what they sound like but the latter apparently use a drum machine too, so they must be good!

Cheers Simon. Plenty of time to get back from work and put my make-up on then.

I think you'll find that's 'brow', singular.

We played a blinder!
A big 'thank you' to everyone who came down to see us.
We'll be playing in Leeds again on Saturday 25th June, at The Cardigan Arms.

Aye. The James' will be there by then and making a 'red carpet' appearance. Spare room going if any of you 'orrible lot wanna crash.
Rhombus are actually quite good for those who still haven't had the privilege!

Excellent. Maybe I won't be dancing by myself again then. Not that that usually bothers me. But there's a fine line between playing to an appreciative crowd of seated afficianados and a drunken remie.
And I nearly tripped over it.

Well well well. What a night! That was easily one of the best gigs we've done to date. The new drum/sequencer/synth thingy is working very nicely indeed. Good turnout as well - a nod and a wink to the RJ's, Ice Maiden, Francis, the York possee and everyone else who turned up.

I missed the first band, which was a shame because they were, apparently, very good. The third band were VERY LOUD in a Lenny Kravitz meets System Of A Down stylee. Though I withstood the earbashing because the bassist looked like she knew what her pelvic floor was for. The headliners were, well ... Judging by the three songs I heard, I can only assume they are very good friends of the promoter. As for the miserable bastards who were second on stage, what can I say that I haven't already? And they played my three favourite tunes again, though this time they had taken the wise precaution of positioning their entourage between myself and the dancefloor.
