There's a quick quiz you can take here that tells you which of the parties most aligns with your views on a selected range of topics. I got:
Your expected outcome:
Labour

Your actual outcome:
Labour -6
Conservative -75
     Liberal Democrat 94
UK Independence Party -9
     Green 37
Bit of a surprise that I'm only slightly less in favour of UKIP than I am of Labour!

Without beeing too much involved, I reached +44 points for the Democratic Party and - 35 for the conservative.
I slightly wondered though, that the issue of FoxHunting was brought up there amongst the rest of "serious questions".
Btw, I voted against. :D
And to not spoil my chances, I voted for more immigrants.

Apparently I should vote for GREEN. Whatever it is ;D Am I a hippie or something? I think it was the cannabis question that helped me to get this result! :D Anyway, I still cannot vote here, because I cannot be asked to apply for an English passport :D

I think this may be a Lib Dem site....

Or is it just that all us old Labour types are Liberals now?

Labour -14
Conservative -53
Liberal Democrat 80
UK Independence Party -8
Green 28

as I suspected these days

@canon docre - I agree that the crime of fox hunting is not an election issue. After all, the pro-bloodsports Tories said it was a "waste of parliamentary time" debating fox hunting, so I'm sure that they'd agree that the same applies doubly to debating it all over again in an attempt to decriminalise it, should they (heaven forbid) win the next election. Unless they're liars and hypocrites, that is.

Who should I vote for?
Labour -26
Conservative -15
Liberal Democrat 26
UK Independence Party -1
Green 31

You should vote: Green
The Green Party, which is of course strong on environmental issues, takes a strong position on welfare issues, but was firmly against the war in Iraq. Other key concerns are cannabis, where the party takes a liberal line, and foxhunting, which unsurprisingly the Greens are firmly against.

Dear me.

Also I couldn't care less about cannabis, tis a silly drug

But the Liberals are a load of reactionary stoogelets as well, surely? In local government they've made exactly the same sorts of cuts that Labour has. I'm going to spoil my ballot paper at the election.

Took the test just to make sure I wasn't accidently going to vote Tory come May...

Labour -19
Conservative -62
Liberal Democrat 98
UK Independence Party -18
Green 56

No real shock to the system there then.

Yes, I know I should vote Green, but I want it to be more than just a faint possiblity that my MP's ass gets whupped this time

We had this on another thread I think ;) There's not much point spoiling your ballot, they do count spoiled ballots but there's no way to tell between ballots spoiled as a protest non-vote and ballots spoiled because someone just did it wrong by accident. You may as well just not turn up. :|

Talking of not voting, in the constituency where I live (Leeds West) at the last general election, John Battle, the Labour MP, got 19943 votes and the Tory who came second got 5008 :| Fairly safe seat then.

Still, I'm going to vote for him because he's a nice man (I've written him a few letters and he always writes back) and I'll be f*cked if I'm going to contribute to the Tories winning the general election...

I like the Lib Dems. They have the MIGHTY Lembit Öpik!!!

He looks funny, sounds funny, has a funny name and is actually a nutter. You only have to look at him to know that this is a guy who KNOWS where not only his towel, but also his tinfoil hat is. And his girlfriend is a weathergirl! And his brother's a goth! (allegedly...)

That's who I want running the country. Nutters.

Is it me, or are they trying to nudge us towards Green?

Or maybe Sisters fans naturally are Grooving In Green.

Oooh yes, good call on Lembit whateverhisnameis....

But I have another suggestion -

"Oh bugger, I've said something stupid about Scousers again"

I just adore this man. When I heard him come out with that "best of all possible worlds" thing, on his doorstep (after his little extra-marital activities were discovered) , I KNEW he had to lead this country! :notworthy:

Boris is fantastic. I like the fact his hair makes him look like a badly-thatched cottage.

Quiffy? Can we stop people displaying pictures of Boris Johnson?

It is quite offensive, really, don't you think?

The website had me as a marginal Lib Dem. But I've two big issues with them. One personal (they once tried to expel me, despite the fact I wasn't actually a member), one political (I was reporting on their eventual demise in Richmond Council).

But I'm voting in Southend, where they weight the Tory vote rather than counting it, so it really doesn't matter. UKIP is the only way to shift them, and I'm not voting for them.

Wouldn't an English passport merely be a passport predominantly in English? So UK, USA, Canada etc, etc ...

I was wondering whether you meant 'cannot be asked' or 'cannot be arsed'? Michael Howard'll come and get you if you're not careful

Labour - 20
Conservative - 43
Lib Dem - 74
UK - 10
Greens - 57

Was always a Labour supporter - rather "old" Labour - and then TB became President, sorry PM, and stuffed the party. Thought I had actually become disenfranchised so at least this gives me an idea as to who to consider voting for.

PLUS - agree that Lembit ("the aliens are coming"), a pure nutter, is worth the vote all by himself!
