The Pope War

I don't sanction this decision at all. I tried to vote for Cardinal Zin, but he didn't appear on the ballot. This is inexplicable to me; unlike Ratzinger, he goes well with chocolate.

Ratzinger; a very conservative red, former Hitler Youth, best left to stand for 30+ years.

Well observed, that man!

I fully endorse Tim's post and particulary the last word.

Does this mean Paisley didn't get it? :?

I suppose posting about wine makes me a metrosexual, Loki. Am I at all redeemed by having suggested a wine for which Ralph Steadman designed the label?

I always keep a bottle of the Cardinal on my bedside table. Just in case. Woof.

Apparantly the votes were going in his favour, until he released his full manifesto.

1. Build a bypass over Vatican City
2. The introduction of Polygamy for all Priests
3. Free-vend condom machines in all RC schools
4. The removal of bullet proof glass in the pope mobile.

Well, I do not like Ratzinger very well, either, but I think he reflects the roman-catholic point of view in a traditional way, so I can understand why he had been chosen.

You are sorry that I'm a metrosexual? I'm not. I like having socks that match.

The headline in The Sun (for all non-British members of the forum, The Sun is a piece of s**t masquerading as a newspaper, or like the National Enquirer with punchy headlines) apparently read "Papa-Ratzi", which is quite clever (quite as in somewhat, not as in absolutely), or maybe it's just something the Sun knows a lot about.

I like the idea of the Pope singing to rats; especially Rizzo from the Muppet Movies. Which reminds me, if the Muppets have Taken Manhatten, when are they going to take Berlin? I can just see Miss Piggy in her 'Caberet' gear - hmmmm...

As for being in the Hitler Youth, well let's face it, it can't have been very recently (and more seriously, I don't think you had a whole heap of choice about it in 1943) - what's much worse is his sinister involvement in an international conspiracy which has been responsible for the deaths of millions and the brainwashing of over 1 billion, of perpetuating racism, sexism, homophobia, etc etc yes of course I mean the Catholic Church - UURGH! ('Uurgh' in horror, in case anyone didn't get that.)

I bet his socks match tho'.

On the other hand, it probably doesn't get him many girls.

Regards,

Red Orc

You really can't blame him being part of the Jugend indeed, the thing is though, I just read a couple of hours ago (in a descent newspaper  ) he tells the germans they shouldn't care too much about that part of the past :?...

Well, at least, he doens't seem to have a single scandal about him, as far as I and my trusted newspaper know, but who knows what the paparazzi find'll out about 'Papa Ratzi'...
