Slaughtered Box Set

Now this isn't strictly sisters related but...
I recently rescued my dusty old vinyl from parents attic. Among the ususal sisters, mish, aae, nephs etc etc 12"/LP's (nothing too rare - don't get excited) I came across a box set that I had all but forgotten about. It's a 3xLP compilation of recordings from the Slaughterhouse Studios (Driffield) entitled SLAUGHTERED. Artists include: Ghost Dance, Batfish Boys, Bomb Party, Salvation, Rubella Ballet, The Vaynes....and lots more. No sisters trax although the cover acknowledges they were at the studios. Anybody know ANYTHING about this box set, it's history, is it rare etc. Searching on t'internet has produced nothing of detail about this release and it's got me all curious...
ta for any help

I got this many years ago - IMHO its chiefly of interest for the two Ghost Dance remixes by Claire and the Eyes of the Nightmare Jungle track which sounds very similar to early Rosetta Stone (they had the same producer, Colin Richardson). I've never seen it advertised on ebay or anywhere else so no idea how much its worth. The cd reissues were done by Nightbreed I think in the mid 90s and that price tag of $176 is seriously taking the p*ss!

thought the $176 sounded a little rich...still i'll probably burn the tracks and lob it onto ebay soon along with a bundle of other stuff i haven't got room for these days.
thx for the info everyone.

Not sure if the Sisters were ever there. But Wayne and Craig did some demo's there for the first Mish singles.

The footnote on the box states:
Sadly not everyone could appear on this presentation. However, bands such as The m*****n recorded their two "indie" number 1's at the Slaughterhouse and The Sisters Of Mercy spent a month here recently. Our best wishes go to these artists.
So there you go, an early example of viral marketing
- which obviously worked in my case as I was buying up everything sisters/mish related in those days. Hussey does appear on the compliation - with Guthrie Handley.

I have a copy of this great box set some where... like others I got it for the Ghost Dance and Salvation tracks, and it includes some great songs by Rubella Ballet and 3000 revs...definately worth checking out if you can get hold of a copy.
It also included a few tracks by the band an old friend of mine was the lead singer with.....Shark Taboo, a great London based band....vey Siouxsie/m*****n sounding. A great live act who should have been bigger, but where just unlucky I guess. Hi Gill if you are out there...

@not dead but gone before-what bomb party tracks are on there?(some of them) are mates of mine who in their drug-addled daze completely failed to keep any rareities of their own stuff.
