just noticed this up for auction:is this actually the title of a commercial bootleg?i had presumed it was an in-house name for the compiled tracks not covered on official cd releases-in which case is it somebody taking the p*ss?

It's just a boot of all the stuff not available on Some Girls or ASCOO. B-sides and single mixes and the like. It's been around for years.

just wondered..got all that on vinyl, only just getting everything on cd (ten years with only limited electricity does no favours for any incentive to keep up)as i say:thought "some boys..." was a HL name for said compilation:and i know how unpopular people making money from material freely available here are....too fcuking right.

Well, technically, the Some Boys stuff is a bit of a grey area, in that it's officially released stuff, whereas the gigs, demos, remixes etc. normally going round the weeding section were never official product, and so are less likely to get the "copyright police" interested.
And before any legal experts jump on me, I'm fully aware that copyright applies as much to live recordings as it does to officially released records. It's just less likely to be enforced (we hope).

Ah no worries mate.
Anyway IMO you'd be better off listening to the vinyl and/or copying it to CD yourself. The "official" bootleg is mastered off vinyl I think.

i have the single versions in vinyl and CD, when available, as i have the SGWBM, the singles cd, anyway my singles vinyls play more than the cds - sound, is much better....
