Death Music

Music to be buried or up the chimney too. I've often wondered what my funurel would be like, as in what music they'll play as I go up the chimney, always thought Death in the family by TON would be very sombre
my uncle went up the chimney to the Jungle Book tune
Floodfland would be funky as well.
what you lot gonna have? or is this a depressing post on such a lovely sunny day

then, just as everyone is leaving - Wake Up Dead by Megadeth blasts out over the sound system

I make my own funeral music
'Up the chimney' makes the song 'Dawn Over Dachau' not very appropriate tho
Otherwise, I always thought 'The Coolin', a traditional Irish song on Uilleann Pipes very bone-chilling and moving. That or 'Koyaanisquatsi' by Philip Glass.
The rest of the funeral will be colored by music like Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Strapping Young Lad, and the new System of a Down.
To confuse all the Goffs and Metalheads, of course

I would like Dead Can Dance "The host of Seraphim" - should bring a tear to everyone's eyes!
One of my close friends father died recently and he had requested Motorhead's "Killed by death" - not bad for a 70 year old
(plus we got to dance to it at the wake afterwards)

I think "A. Goth" might not want to license his work for funerals, for fear that it would make him look like the Prince of Darkness
Tis a good choice admittedly, but I'd hate to have my copy of it played...all crackly and ripped-from-poor-vinyl
