Surely Obi Wan is a "force ghost"?
Not sure about the lightsaber noise - a hum?
(Recently read a Star Wars novel the described the sound a lightsaber activating as a "fizz-snap" or something equally ridiculous.)

its the noise a microphone makes when he is placed before a speakerbox or television.
