i'm posting this because a few people have shown an an interest;i should imagine the rest are sick of me referring to it -and i wouldn't be surprised if some of you think i'm making it all up!

went to see the midwife with mrswhizzkid this morning.she is over a week overdue to have our baby and so has now been booked in to the hospital to be induced.
on friday morning coming -if nature hasn't got the little bugger out- they are going to artificially start labour.
which means by saturday night at the latest the long wait will be over and i'll be a dad.the last few weeks have been a real physical strain for her and a nervous /emotional strain for us both (not to mention missing near meth at leeds and all the european dates!) so i am relieved that a definite end to the pregnancy and the start of my kids life is in sight.

actually the midwife seems to think we won't make it to friday as mrswk is almost half as dilated
as she needs to be and everythings ''ripe'' as it were.

we just want to say thanks for all the concern, encouragement and kind words from HLers -both on the boards and in PMs. :notworthy:
and i promise i won't mention it again until it's born!  8)

We're ripping towels and boiling water as you speak.

Don't let anyone near Mrs Kid with anything that looks like a crochet hook......

Mention it as much as you like as far as I'm concerned - in the scale of "Does it really matter?" I give it a 10/10.

Just try and introduce some relaxing music to the delivery suite - I'm think Decks FX and a 909? All the best (again) and keep us informed.

Hope it's a nice, sober, non-speed-high-ed baby, who at 5 gains an irrational love for harsh techno. ;)

Jeez, it's supposed to be a happy time, that sounds more like a funeral!

Well, the girls get a bit wierd at the end. And are often in pain, and think they are big as an elephant.

Not like a funeral, but a bit wierd time. Close to nervous breakdown, if you ask me.
