summer's singer's turn

an old story, i know.
anyhow, i finished a new version of summer as an instrumental track, waiting for it's singer. it now features everything i wanted to add - it might not be the final mix, but therefor i would like to hear your thoughts about it - i never had that much tracks recorded for one song before.

anybody who wants to listen let me know - i'll send you the track. if somebody could host it this would be even better.

good to hear them play live again - nevertheless i hope you guys will enjoy the track.

Don't bite my head off, but I've never actually heard "Summer"... haven't been visiting forums like this in search of the unknown so to say... until now...

*curious*

How big's the file - I might be able to host it if it doesn't generate GBs of traffic each month...

Hell yes, I´d LOVE to hear it! "Summer" is by far my favourite of the unreleased songs...

Hosted...

I've hosted the file here:
SUMMER (in waiting)

Please consider visiting Kindred Spirits since the file is hosted on our web hotel... and we need to be noticed as well

it does make for excellent "summer karaoke".i can't help but bellow along to the track any way but this is just right for when there's nobody else in and you're hairbrush-microphoning it in front of the mirror :innocent:

actually i quite like it -2 criticisms :the 'verse' passages are twice as long as they should be ; and, with the exception of "the harmonica man", i fuckin' hate mouthorgans.

thx for the response. in fact the verse is longer, mainly to have more space for musical variations - like the accoordeon, which is hand-crafted, not mouthblown. in fact i am currently working on versions having the accordeons much more prominent in the mix (workingtitle: summer - hans albers mix, or st. pauli version).......

great effort my friend! sounds cool! :)
this is what happens when von doesn't wanna record his new songs.
it results in his fans having to do it themselves ;)

I was going to do War On Drugs, but got bored, did Anaconda, realised that the MIDI version sounded better, gave up and made my own stuff.

So in short, no. :P

once upon a time we were discussing this:
http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic. ... ngers+turn

with the aim to get the old new songs recorded in (kind of) studios as instrumentals and afterwards present them to their singer.......

so we will see if we can restart the whole thing or not.
i'd argue for restarting it.

I'm planning to do a version of (We Are The Same) Suzanne when I get round to repairing my four track (after redecorating the living room, replastering the office walls, yadda yadda yadda...)
