From MWIS.....

MGT REJOINS m*****n LTC TOUR & OTHER NEWS
With the release of the new m*****n single, Breathe Me In, now only days away we thought it would be a good idea to remind you to place your order early as this is a strictly limited release of 3000 only, worldwide. It’s available to order from all good high street and online record stores everywhere, catalogue no.: SPV 63923 CDS .
We also have some other news to tell you. Firstly, we are pleased to announce that after the success of the Mission’s recent shows in South Africa, and in the continued absence of Rob Holliday due to other commitments, Mark Gemini Thwaite will be playing guitar with the band for the whole of the upcoming ‘Lighting The Candles’ European tour. This marks the first time that Mark has played guitar with the band in Europe since 2000. I’m sure that you’ll all give him the welcome he deserves.
We are also pleased to announce that the Norwegian band ‘Elusive’ are to be special guests on the tour for all shows except Dublin. Please go to their website for more details. http://www.elusive.no
Also, we can confirm that there will, indeed, be both PAL and a limited number of NTSC versions available of the forthcoming m*****n DVD ‘Lighting The Candles’, scheduled for release on Monday 29th August (30th in the UK).
Catalogue no.’s: PAL: SPV 63737 DVD+CD
NTSC: SPV 6373D DVD+CD
We hope to be able to announce here on this website in a few weeks time details of how to buy your m*****n goodies directly from us via this website.
We are also happy, at long last, to be able to appease ‘The Greek Beggers’ by being able to announce confirmation of a couple of shows in Greece. The first one is Saturday 29th October in Athens, venue to be confirmed, followed by the Mylos in Thessalonika on Sunday 30th October. There is still a strong likelihood of one or two more shows being added to the already announced mammoth ‘Lighting The Candles’ tour.
There will be a full and comprehensive line of OFFICIAL merchandise available on the tour and ONLY AVAILABLE INSIDE the venues. Please only buy official merchandise as we have no control over the designs or quality of bootleg items and none of the proceeds from bootleg sales actually come to the band. Beware of imitations.
OK, that’s it for now. But don’t forget - BREATHE ME IN - available this coming Monday.

If you wait for a couple of months you could pick one up from the bargain bins in Woolworths.

Say what you will about the Mish, I bought singles I and II on 12" and III on 7" and God's Own Medicine LP, and I've been more than pleased with the lot.

On the album God's Own Medicine, That Guitarist sounds like he's doing a bad impression of someone doing a bad impression of Bono from U2.

I was hoping this thread wouldn't get anymore replies, so I could resurrect it in months to come and laugh at the title...

...and don't forget, "LOSE THE FAITH", new album of Simon Winkler! (former mish guitar player)

... maybe a direct reference to Wayne...

Of course. Wayne did a number of things for Cleopatra when he was living in LA. There are a number of cover versions floating about which he produced for them. But Resurrection was really the catalyst for getting the Mish back together and make them a touring outfit again. I suppose AurA is really the album proper of that line-up. 8)

the Severina 12" and accompanying video was where my bullshit detector kicked in, or is that just Hippie/Goth nonsense?

What makes it even worse is that the dippy bint who did the backing vocals then went and made a whole career for herself rehashing that hippy wailing.

Hussey went pop. The Mish and video's has always been a fraught relationship. But the DVD is live and excellent. Worth the trip to your local HMV.
