No More Corporate Whore

Enough. No more. Three months ago I handed in my resignation and as per the terms of my contract have been working my notice period ever since. Tomorrow is my last day in corporate sh!tville. :notworthy:

No more 15 hour days. No more commuting crap. It stops tomorrow. :x

I have no other job lined up. I have financial debts and committments the size of most small African countries but I don’t care. I’m ever the optimist. Something will turn up.

The important thing is I’m going to be happy. :P

I’ve been told by various parties that I’m either being incredibly stupid or incredibly brave? Time will tell.

But I just refuse to line some other money grabbing bastards pocket whilst I continue on this treadmill and drive myself into an early grave. I just refuse to accept that this is my working life for the next 22 years. :urff:

Personal circumstances have meant my life has seen a sea change in the past few months and now I understand there is a life out there. That’s what I’m going to find. And I really can’t wait. :D

I propose to sleep for a week. Then I’m gonna take control of my life for the first time in my life. :von:

It’s gonna be fab. 8)

Contrary to popular understanding, flame decals don't "make it go faster".

Good on you Johnny. I jacked in a stressful job years ago and have never regretted it. I can't say I ever found my niche or had a successful career since but I'm still a hell of a lot happier than I was doing a job I hated.

Congratulations, Johnny! It takes a lot of guts to take a step like this, but I think it is the only way to move forward, decide what you want and to let life take a more satisfying direction.

Take care, Eva.

You know what I think already Divine Mr M.

Lets hope that our respective new careers give us both a new lease of life!

Gaun yersel John! ;D

Don't listen to the naysayers. They probably just wish they had the guts to do the same. I'm a firm believer that taking a risk pays off more often than not, if you go about it with a positive attitude. Which you obviously are.

The world's your oyster, mate. Very best of luck! :notworthy: :D
