Adam Pearson (Mad for the Racket / MC5)

I found this on http://www.muscletonerecords.com/
ABOUT THE ARTIST...
MAD FOR THE RACKET is the first official release on MuscleTone Records. It features a brand new batch of songs written entirely by Wayne and Brian James (Damned, Lords of the New Church). The record features Stewart Copeland (Police) and Clem Burke (Blondie) on drums, Duff McKagan (G'n'R) on bass and guest appearances by guitarist Adam Pearson (Sisters of Mercy) and drummer Brock Avery (Liquid Jesus). Produced by WAYNE KRAMER. If you'd like to buy the album right now, visit the MuscleTone Store by clicking here .
But it seems this album was already released in 2001.
So "Adam Pearson is now playing guitar with the MC5" doesn't necessarily want to say he has left the Sisters (as he was already playing with MC5 in 2001). Or am I wrong?
