Am getting really worried about my job at the moment......my class has only 19 c ...I've just lost lost one and two more will be gone within the next 4 weeks.......

Our whole school roll totals what most schools have in one class.

Classes of 43?

Back in my days (which is 2 to 3 years ago) I've always been in classes of 5 to 10 pupils...

In fairness, 43 is a 6th form tutor group, so we're never in anything but registration period together. However, lower school classes average around 32 students. Since I chose allegedly difficult subjects, my classes range between about 10 and 15, but I can't speak for other classes.

Sorry to hear that. As the others have noted, I hope that it is just a lead in to something better. Good luck.

Thank you all for your kind words. I actually feel pretty good today as this has been looming for nearly a year. Now I just want to know when I am being shown the door.

I am busy applying for other things so hopefully I will sort something out soon
