James Ray presents 4080 Peru
We can now reveal that the "special guests" for Sunday will be none other than James Ray's
4080 Peru!
James came to our attention as part of
The Sisterhood, and then went on to record "alternative" dancefloor classics such as Dust Boat, Texas, Destination Assassination, Rev Rev Lowrider, and many others under the guise of
James Ray's Gangwar and
James Ray & The Performance, both of whom were signed to The Sisters of Mercy's own Merciful Release label.
Prior to their split, Gangwar and Performance gigs were legendary for their alcohol-fuelled, riotous take on electronic rock and roll.
That was then, this is now.
James' latest incarnation
4080 Peru will be headlining the Sunday night gig at the Bassment, and have promised us a few surprises.

Oh yes.
Many thanks to The Sisters of Murphy for agreeing to let us change the billing accordingly. True gents, every one of them.

Excellent news!
And kudos to The Sisters of Murphy for being gentlemen and stepping down the bill ever so slightly.
QB, why does
www.sheepish.net/weekender/sunday.htm say that
The Sisters of Mercy are playing? is there something you're not telling us, or has someone made a typo

It's the thought of an MR band playing...it's too much provocation to Them.

My parents fly off on holiday that day. I'll be staying at my sister's for 2 weeks.
If I can convince her or her husband to get me to Leeds, I'll be there for 4080Peru. And of course to see all your smiley happy faces.
