Don't you just love...

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I don't think I've ever heard an apology that hasn't been followed by 'but' :|

I have always apologised with sincerity and unconditionally. Otherwise what's the point?

Ms Debaser, once trying to pre-empt and stop an apology from me, still got one.

"My apologises. I was wrong."

If you can't apologise, be open and sincere and mean it, without quantifying it, then it's meaniless. Don't even bother. :von:

*shudder* oooh, that's never a good one... :urff:

Better than no apology at all... or one that's just the word "sorry" tripping out of someone's mouth even though they're not...

...maybe :| . Or maybe it's all pretty s**t and the only solution is alcohol, hitting things and listening to some very good music very loud :von: :notworthy: .

Eggsakkerly - if you have to 'but' it then you don't mean it and we don't need to hear it.

I always liked 'I'm sorry you feel that way'. Make it clear that someone's bad feeling is entirely their fault.

If you deliver it with enough chutzpah people think you've apologised and feel better, without me having to compromise towards people who don't necessarily deserve it.

Naturally, when I'm wrong ... I just apologise. When someone else is wrong I just can't be bothered ....
