Hello everyone , i have just recently joined the forum and am very excited to be a part of this.
my computer literacy is poor so please give me a chance to aquaint myself with this website and hopefully make a few friends and have some jolly good banter sbout the sisters life and the useless other rock and roll bands. i have purchased rose of the avalanche as it was recommended to me , cost a bit on amazon too, and they just dont have the magic of the sisters, my search continues for good goth rock music, any ideas ?

I have only experienced Coventry when I had to stay in a no-mans-land type Holiday Inn on J17 of whichever motorway there is there. Very dull indeed

I went to an Eels gig in Coventry.
But that was on a Uni campus, so it probably doesn't count.

Earlsdon used to be a nice area. I heard it went downhill after I moved out sometime in the early 90s.

well, Julianne Regan was from Coventry, but I think she moved elsewhere before forming AAE - I certainly have no memory of AAE ever being a 'local' band during my time there.
So no, they're some other town's fault.
