have you heard this cover???
I went to a festival to see Front 242 before to go to tilburg and lokeren, and in that festival I saw a group(cycle) that in the last song of theyr show was a cover of more, in my opnion I don´t like it.
can´t compare the sister version whit the other one.
but in my country: Spain, cycle is very famous and what a lot of people don´t know is that More is a sisters cover.....

Isn't the internet amazing?
Bit of a pointless cover this, it's virtually a note for note remake but each one ever so slightly inferior to the original. As a result it's wholly uninspiring...
Thanks for the pointer though dtsom

Reminds me of a bunch of In Extremo fans I met at a Motorhead gig, they (the fans, not Motorhead) were all humming "This Corrosion" and when I asked told me it was their favorite In Extremo song. I couldn't help shattering their illusions by telling them that it's originally a Sisters song. And they all went: "Who? Never heard of them."...

Oh dear. Worse than the original?
Forgive me for not jumping out of my seat. Call me back when there's a WYDSM cover.

Well this girl I know is a fan of HIM and thought he wrote Temple Of Love until I pointed out otherwise.
And this kid was in a music chatroom blabbering on about HIM, and he claimed TOL was the best song HIM ever wrote. I pointed out that it was a Sisters song, but he said: "No, it's a HIM song, everthought that the Sisters stole it off HIM" or something along those lines.

Sure. The Sisters hired a fortune-teller, learned HIM was going to write a song called "Temple Of Love", and decided to beat him to it, more than a decade beforehand.

That explains why I found the TOL lyrics credited to HIM on some dodgy lyrics site then.
Seriously though, HIM covered The Sisters?
How was this allowed to happen?

The bloody "If you don't change the arrangement and credit it appropriately, you don't have to get our approval" thing. The same reason Cradle of Filth got away with "No Time to Cry"
As an aside, does anyone have a copy of either cover for...evaluation purposes...?

I know, it was a rhetorical question
I've not heard the HIM cover, but IIRC the CoF version of NTTC is on Bitter songs for Succubi or whatever it's called; that may aid your search.
I thought I had it but the iPod says no.

Aye that's the one.

I'm not sure it's even worth the bandwidth, never mind the money

Sorry, to clarify, the CoF comment was an edit, which confused things. I was actually referring to the Cycle and HIM covers, I only slotted the No Time to Cry one in after I remembered that I had the mp3.
Apologies for the confusion.
