appologies in advance if this has been answered a 1000 times before, but...
just how many original damage done singles were produced in the first place?
how many do you think are around today?
whats the story with the bootleg that has the spire chopped off the picture sleeve?
how many copies of these are there?
i only ask as damage done went on ebay for about £250 a couple of days ago, something that seems to occur a few times every year.

I think there were 1000 originally...If you look in the Heartland gallery, there's a handy guide to telling fakes from the real thing!

There were a thousand, but I heard a load got destroyed in an exploding pipe/water horror based incident at one of the band-member's abodes in Leeds?
This may be apocryphal, but hey, that's what makes it a Sisters story.
P.S. £250 is extortionate.

I heard that when they originally went on sale, the record shops didn't sell that many and returned a load to the band marked "Scratched - returned for refund". Deliberately scratched by the record shops of course.
As above:

I thought that the LAST few copies of Damage Done came with an insert? when it was (kind of) re-released in 1982?
there is a 'record collector' article all about DD which is online somewhere, anyone have a link?
