Jarboe is very extreme yet a bit kinder with it compared to aunty Diamanda. I'd reccomend 'Sacrificial Cake' to anyone.

Don't suppose you could elaborate on the performance of one man and his laptop? Was there much moving around / singing / interpolation of real instruments? The whole "hunched over a laptop like a gargoyle" thing is what's been keeping me from risking live music, but if it can be pulled off...

I did read, it just wasn't entirely clear...
Maybe I'm just too naive to believe that someone would have the adaucity to perform an entire set with the single "musician" crouched over a machine doing nowt much else...

just as BoF said, the photo on the review says it all - he didn't move from that position at all

Sorry I meant that if you're thinking of doing performances like that in the future try and introduce something for the audience to focus on.

He doesn't need audacity, he's been in several excellent and well-loved bands, he's just trying something different - I'm not defending it, I found it quite dull.

One correction - my last name has an 'i' on the end of it. No biggie, tho.
Hey, being BEHIND the kit, I never got to take any pictures of the full band in action. Do you have any others besides the ones in the article? I'd really enjoy seeing them. They are for personal use, and even if I put them on my web site, I will credit you - just send me what to say.
