will I survive N.Y.?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Alright peeps, I'm off to the Big Apple any minute.

Please cross your fingers that I'll not fall into an ill-fated shopping frenzy (like I usually do), as my finances unfortunately leave much to be desired at the moment. :urff:

Have fun in my absence (but not tooo much. )

Let's just hope NY survives then

I'm sure they have the internet over there, despite President Shrub, so do let us know how you're doing.

And bring us back something nice!

Like 3 million and a record deal ;D

I'll do my best in mooching around the Trump Tower to see if some pennies fall off Mr. Trumps pockets.

Wanted to to America since I was about four - but not New York. California yes. Either way, it's gotta be better than a cold and damp Leeds.

Bring 'us back a stick of rock, will you..?

Believe me....I would! It's Leeds!!!

As a young kid I was a Leeds United fan. In 1985 I found out why I was "connected" to the city....

I haven't got a clue if it is a nice or friendly or whatever city. But it's Leeds...the place where it all started. It's "my Heartland"
I really liked those photo's in the Reptile House thread.

But....to stick to this thread; going to NY right now would be nice...

If you have a little time (and money) to spend in N.Y. you could always have a drink at the Rainbow Room, Rockafella center. If the weather's right it's quite breathtaking.
