I think that every collector (serious) must hide something for to kept the collection interesting through the years. In my specific case the few time (very few) that I asked something here never found people so available as you described (maybe it's a problem just for me).

Most of old & big collectors kept his stuff just for yourself (I.E Sisterhood demos ect) and sincerely I understan them all.

if the Sisterhood demo tape that was sold for a lot ££££, one day will be available at record shop near home, it's value will be zero.

I knew in the past collectors or just fan that had a lot of video footages
that never come out into circuit (Berlin 83 full gig, Amsterdam 85, Sheffield 84 ect) and promise me that never will be.

at last.... there's a big big difference beteween a fan and a collector

for a fan dont matter the value of item, dont matter the support, dont matter the quality ect but just the need to listen the sisters.
the fan dont want spent money on sisters, just listen them on cdr or tape takes from a friend or somebody else.

for a collector everything is worth, dont matter if must payed a lot of money (maybe a house or a car value) for to get a piece, it's very important every time he/she found a better quality tape or video, or just a new old photo. sometime you must work hard months for to get a lower genaration audio or one photo but this doent matter as the work of collector is this.

The collector dont want new sisters material but just found every items that was onto market or in something warehouse.

maybe it's hard to understand here cause there're more fan that collectors :(
