Anyone know if there's more than one source recording from this show?!?!?
I'm looking for a complete copy but the only one I've heard is the video rip with the badly cut Vision Thing..
Gent Sportpaleis, 16th May 1991?
I know that there´s a bootleg of that show whit 18 tracks
I´ve got the dvd´(the quality it is not so good(regular I´d say)) of that show and the track list is:
First and Last and Always + Lucretia My Reflection + Body And Soul + Possession + Ribbons + Alice + Dominion/Mother Russia + Amphetamine Logic + Detonation Boulevard + Marian + This Corrosion + Gimme Shelter + Valentine + Vision Thing + Flood II + Temple of Love + Something Fast + Jolene + vision thing
so the bottleg has 1 track missing

There's something odd with that tracklisting - they actually played:
First And Last And Always, Lucretia My Reflection, Body And Soul, Possession, Ribbons, Alice, Dominion / Mother Russia, Amphetamine Logic, Detonation Boulevard, Marian, This Corrosion, Gimme Shelter, Flood II, Temple Of Love
-
Something Fast, Jolene
-
Valentine, Vision Thing
But Eldritch wasn't onstage for VT so whoever filmed had the genius idea of turning the camera off rather than filming the rest of the band
(I know, should be grateful it got filmed in the first place!).
That's why VT is cut, I was hoping another audio source might be lurking around somewhere but it doesn't look too promising

Yes, that's the correct tracklist. I think the reason for the cuts was because the persons battery had run out. By taking the battery off a camcorder and putting it back on you get a few more minutes/seconds of power, that's why there's lots of little cuts. I like the end bit - "...even you. All the ugly people in the balcony. All the SERIOUSLY UGLY people in the balcony. All the ugliest people I've even SEEN in the balcony. Yes Yes Yes YES YES YES YES."czuczu wrote:There's something odd with that tracklisting - they actually played:

It's possible but I don't think that's the reason for the cuts.. If you check it out you see a fleeting shot of the the band on stage followed by some wild panning.. Next time you see AE he's way off in the distance but there's no band. The Sportspaleis had a cycling track around the standing area so when they played VT AE was running laps around the crowd for the whole song. I think the camera guy just got confusedDan wrote:.. think the reason for the cuts was because the persons battery had run out..
You can see the track really clearly here, it was an amazing VT and there was loads more banter - he did a full lap of honour after the set."...even you. All the ugly people in the balcony. All the SERIOUSLY UGLY people in the balcony. All the ugliest people I've even SEEN in the balcony. Yes Yes Yes YES YES YES YES."
And I was one of the seriously ugly people in the balcony, which is why I'm still looking for a full audio recording...

Whereas my vid doesn't have any of the encores at all. And the odd tape mishap (ie pressing record instead of play ) hasn't helped. Apparently Von was wearing his United shirt by the time he did his lap of honour.

He certainly had his scarf tied around his waist, not sure if he was wearing a shirt for the encore - doesn't ring a bell but my memory's far from reliable.Planet Dave wrote:...apparently Von was wearing his United shirt by the time he did his lap of honour. .
Still no leads on a recording though, does Robin frequent these parts? I guess he's as likely to know as anyone...

So there is a complete recording of my favourite show! I always thought there should probably be audio recordings but 3 different video recordings is a major surprise..
What a Xmas gift that would make!
(Yeah - Pwuc, where they drink Catsblood )
