I've always meant to sign up to alt.gothic and all the other goth newsgroups, but I'm not sure what kind of program I'd need to get access - can anyone advise? Dark, don't you post to uk.people.gothic or something?

You can get your daily dose of sadness through your browser using Google Groups or you can use email software such as Outlook Express (boo!) or Thunderbird (hooray!) to download the on-going flame war that is usenet.

I post to alt.gothic under the name "Tom.." (god knows why I chose that name. Just seemed vaguely interesting at the time...).

I use Outlook Express, but having just converted to Mozilla, I may change to Thunderbird soon.

What exactly is Thunderbird then? I can't stand outlook, and seriously doubt I even have it on my machines at home.

Using the works Outlook might not be a good idea either...

I use IncrediMail for emailing and Google Groups for a couple of groups like be.music...

IM is a bit slower maybe, but then again, I'm not a mass-mailer
