In-laws due soonish, therefore...

Beef Catalan with Roast Vegies (not the people, the veg  ). Pumpkin soup starter is in the can, Mand is sorting out some strange mascarpone cheese and peach ensemble for pud. Don't do puds meself.

I must say, the beef catalan is looking particularly fine. Now where's me Barca shirt. 8)

Roast potatoes
Chicken fillet with onions and red/green/yellow peppers
Broccoli with cheese on top
Garlic mushrooms

And when plates are finished the kids get yoghurt.

Oh and I'll be having a glass of red wine.

whenever we have one of the kids' school friends for tea (no i don't mean we eat the friend) it's a sure thing that no matter how much you try it will be too exotic/spicy/allergy-inducing. even though we make a point of running what we're having to eat by that particular kid's parents first.

so today when little catherine came for tea -previous visit: spaghetti bolognese too runny  - i thought we would play safe with fishfingers potato wedges and beans. oh no- fishfingers:great;beans:lovely;potato wedges: too spicy!!.
i give up.
