black celebration

In honour of my 31st birthday (TODAY :D ) I went to the Black Celebration gig in London last night with a few mates. should have been Apoptygma Berzerk headling, but after they cancelled and were replaced by Killing Joke, who also then cancelled, mesh were promoted to headline act.
Got there a bit late and only caught the last few bands:
Sheep on Drugs were truely awful. I only knew a few of their tracks and was quite hopeful but I think this was probably one of the worst live performances I have ever seen.
Rico on the other hand was excellent - unlike the band that played after (whose name i forget) who were basically 2 guys on drums and synths playing a number of tracks that all seemed to blend in into one. Seemed to be to some peoples tastes - just not mine!
Mesh's promotion to headline act was more than justified. This was the 4th time I have seen them now and they just keeping getting better. the new tracks they previewed were excellent - surely its time they find the fame and recogintion they deserve?
Any other mesh fans in the heartland world?

A few Mesh tracks wouldn't be out of place on there, it has to be said.

I really like them though as well. Slightly goffick Mode imitators... just can't get enough of 'em...

07-11...hmm, what was happening on a certain date 9 months prior to this date that caused so many birthdays on this date?

MB...must be something to do with a black celebration or something surely?

Cold weather. People snuggle up to each other, trying to keep warm...

Sheep On Drugs are still a favourite of mine. At least until I'd heard the latest album which isn't very good at all.
Lee should really call it quits I think.

I'm sure there's a joke about a Sisters chorus and a Welshman in that band name, but I can't quite put my finger on it :innocent:

Didn't Mesh support the Sisters on the Event Horizon tour? I also remember them having some kind of connection to the Sisters - not sure. Do you have any idea QB?

They're pretty good I reckon, though I haven't heard them for a few years.
