Problems with Adobe Premiere

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Hello dear Heartlanders.

As you may know by now I work on syncing audioclips with videoclips from some of the concerts in August.

I have now encountered a problem when importing .avi files in Adobe Premiere, it says "Error: Unsupported Compression in File".

I have tried to convert the files to mpeg1, mpeg2 and DVD, but then the quality suffers to much.

So, what do I do? Anyone have an idea how to convert the file to a good .avi-file (without using Premiere)? Maybe I have to configure the program different? Have I missed something? Do I have an hang-over? etc. 8)

Help is appretiated! :notworthy:
