I guess there are many people who dislike that song, but i love it.It's so minimalistic and groovy in it's own low budget way.

Sandstorm is under rated too

it's all ralative innit? when it came out no-one would probably have listened to the sisters again on the strength of that single. i don't hate it but unless i'm listening to SGWBM it would never cross my mind to put it on. watch is a better track in my opinion...and home of the hitmen is up there for worst rhyming couplet in rock alongside Rotten's "antichrist/anarchist".
fast forward to when the sisters started playing live and their direction had been found and they were a gigging band and damage done (and watch) are totally different beasts.

Can I put in a case for "Feel No Pain"?

I'm not so sure about that. I think it's just rubbish, plain and simple.
When I hear it, and that's not frequently, I just can't believe that it was made by Messrs Eldritch and Marx. It really does spoil SGWBM in my opinion.
I would prefer it if SGWBM began with Body / Adrenochrome and ended with the first record, just tacked on at the end.

IMO; no! But I don't think that you let me stop you

Sandstorm and Untitled underrated?
It seems I still have to meet the person who says they're no good, perhaps it's just they're just not that well known...
And Feel no pain is quite okay, if you have the day for it, but that's for the whole of the SSV album, IMO

Not a perfect debut but a good one nonetheless (It got played by John Peel
). The funkiest bassline to come out of 1980

Yeah, it's the bassline that redeems it. One of those hooks that, you hear it once, and you think you've always known it.
I skip it most of the time but it's listenable. What really lets it down (and I hate to say it), is Von's vocal. Very weak
... and then there's that bit where they double-track his vocal, and he's singing two different bits - doesn't work.

i know! -it's hard to believe, but apparently true (even rotten's embarassed by it -as much as he
could be).

Which isn't very much!
I've got to admit, I always found it kind of amusing... can you imagine if the song didn't start off with that?

Of course, when your English articulation is so awful as Rotten's, he could even find a rhyming word for "orange" (eh
James?
)

does anyone actually know how TSOM could improve so DRAMATICALLY from 1980 to 1982? It can't be all about practice?
Or maybe Body Electric/Adrenochrome was their first serious effort, and the first single some sort of test.

The first single had Andrew drumming and both bass and guitar parts played on a 6 string through a 3 watt practice amp. I'm guessing that the Doktor, some better equipment and some extra man-power was partly responsible

no, not
certain sure...but it's as good a ryhne as -if not better than- the aforementioned first two lines of A4UK and despite their alliteration and general assonance it never occurred to me that they were meant to
ryhme.
i bet
