The Pandora project

Very nice link I found on the GW forum I frequent, and which (almost) ends the search for the perfect radio station.

Just enter a name of a band you like, and this station searches for similar bands and plays only that music for you.

It works lovely, although there are a lot of ad-banners apparently when you are a non-member...

Ah well... no problems for me...

Enjoy!

Great stuff, at last old foggies like myself have easy access to "new" music.

Thanks

It is fantastic, nothing more to say!

Even considering becoming a member, just to support them.

And the quality is also very good, IMO.

AND above all, you are gone in ten seconds, without a gazillion popups and setups. You want music, you get it. So simple :)

Well, for now it is pretty ad-free, although they say in the FAQ that this can change when people start advertising.

Ah well, still no probs. Local radios here also put ads in after every four songs or so...

For valid US zip codes I always look in whatever manual that's lying next to me

Heard of this site too, but never really tried it, though it seems to be good indeed

I did the same as Zeno suggests. My ZIP code is 2500. It only accepts US ones, so I made it 25004. And that works, apparently ;D
