Worth a view..?

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Looks worth a look aye.
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Just make sure you've no goats, virgins or sharp implements nearby.

Pity, 'cos that's a good night in for a Leeds United fan (thought I'd get that in before you, Planet Dave...)

Nooooooooo

Not again

for tens of years this has been going on. Don't they know the words 'let it be' over there?

Quotes that make me wince and shudder:

"If music makes itself an instrument of nefarious deeds and death it should be stopped,"

"Everyone remembers the secret messages that were supposed (AHA!) to be contained in Ozzy Osbourne's lyrics and the controversy over his track Suicide Solution."

"Deicide sing about the occult, their most popular anthem being Kill the Christians." (no, it is NOT, but how convenient to use this one as an example)

"What the music may well be doing is simply reinforcing beliefs that they might have started with in the first place," THANK YOU!

And remember, parents: when you see your youngest son shag a goat, BLAME FOLK MUSIC. It he smokes weed and dies of maltreated infection, blame Bob Marley.

Argh :urff:

when was Death/Black Metal entertaining, did I miss that module?

the TV programme can be summarised as follows:

1. Parents let 14 year old boy regularly go out to the pub on his own
2. 2 years later, the kid ends up dead.
3. Parents start crusade against some band/music rather than accepting that letting a 14yr old go out on the p*ss regularly might be a sign of a complete lack of parental responsibility.

Lots of creepy sound effects and lingering silences to enhance the atmosphere and fill in the gaping holes in the logic in the usual media stitch-up job. Quality trash journalism and jolly good fun, but surely it should be in the pages of the Sun and not on the BBC?

Or, as Benton stated it: "It is entertainment"

Although it started out rather biased, I find this doc pointed out, in the end, that maybe parents have to start watching their kids once in a while and find out what he/she is doing all the time, instead of having a 14-hour job and absolutely no time to have an interest in their kids' lives...

Or as one of the college teacher dudes pointed out: most of these kids had trouble in school, with parents and with their lives in general. And then the music just enhanced those feelings.

Or as I stated earlier, don't blame Bob Marley when your kid starts smoking weed.

3. get's his heid bashed in by above fuds
4. dad with either a glass eye or 20/60 vision and his bug eyed wife go full-on tabloid

Well I don't mind posting it to be honest if you want to see it, though it is mainly going on about some kids that got caught up in the whole Satanic thing. Some good bits though! Up to you
