make of this what you will...as i'm not so sure myself.
i know someone, who has no reason to lie to me, who tells me that Von has a younger brother (mid-thirties) who is studying for a m.a. at bath uni.
this someone who works at bath uni has chatted to Von's younger brother who tells him the following:
adam has now left the sisters
that the sisters are plannig a 'big' tour to mark 25 years
and that they are planning to play places they have rarely, if ever played before.
as i say make of it what you will.
none of the above is an amazing revelation, and i have no idea if Von even has a younger brother, let alone one studying at bath uni.

Certain people have been aware that Adam has left the Sisters for a number of months. If his decision is based on wanting to join a well-known recording/touring band and have a full-time job then good luck to him. He's served Von well.
And at the same time if his replacement in the Sisters is someone who's more than happy - and more than capable - to play the part-time guitarist as and when Von decides to top up his pension fund, then everyone's a winner.
I have no intention to sound cryptic or 'in the know' but just to confirm one of your statements.
If someone who has a
personal interest in the Sisters guitarist merry-go-round tells me someting as a friend then I'm not going to publish it in open forum. That's
their choice. Yes, I'm talking about YOU.
Some of us trade in bootlegs. Some further up the foodchain trade in guitarists.
Tour? I think so and glancing up at Scotty's post as I type this, Caledonia? Why not?

Cool
I'd better find me a job in my spare time and some money then, fast
On a side note: I seem to remember reading once Von had no contact at all with his family anymore, or was that just his parents
(or even: smoke & mirrors)
Now I hope there'll be something to do in .be again as well

It would help.

Correct re the parents so slightly bizarre re "the younger brother at Bath Uni" scenario. Unless 'younger brother' is a mature student? Or Von's parents were still doing
it when old and wrinkly.

Sucks that they left "plinky-plinky" behind with FALAA, doesn't it?

And to answer the brother question
Brothers and sisters?
"One of each."
Do you ever see them?
"No."

It better not be too big a tour, I've only booked off the week with the 16th of Feb in it, which gives me a total of (assuming the tour starts on the 16th) of 8 days.
I can't book anymore time off either as another bastard at work as taken the end of the month.

ask the Eastmidstwizzkid for advise on how to deal with this conflicting situation.
