andrew once said that the version of tc on the cassette edition of floodland is a different mix. afaik this never was confirmed in here. if thats the case i would be happy if somebody could upload this version somewhere - that would be great, and should not cause any legal problem as the cassette is no longer available, (and obviously i dont have it)
thx

There are two mixes on the cassette.
The first is 4 minutes long with a shortened intro the first verse, then "On daze..", and the second is just over 5 minutes, with a half-length choral intro, and the "Hey hey hey hey hey now now now now" part afterwards.

Dark is on about the limited edition cassingle of This Corrosion which...**looks at copy in hand** has the 7" edit (3.59) and the (5.16) version: surely the best length for this track IMHO.
the floodland cassette is the same as the lp with the addition of torch.

Is the version on the cassette of Floodland the same as that on the vinyl, or that on the CD?

ooh...i've only owned the cd for a few months so hadn't compared it to the lp version. i would have said they were all the same version on all three formats but if the cd is different from the lp then the casette could be different too.there can't be much in it is there? no time to time them at the moment.

IIRC the CD version is a bit longer than the LP version. Hang on...

verflixt!
thx for the answers. so andrew was wrong. he once said that the cassette version was a mix more in the stile of jim steinman, so in fact not different in the way of an edit but different in sound and mix.
so we have to compare the different editions of the floodland tape (uk, us, germany), although it seems we will not discover any new version. if i remember right he said that after foodland was released already.

Those would be the cassette single versions.

indeed they would , however the lengths stated on the the cassette case are as per my earlier post: 3.59 and 5.16.

My mp3 lengths are the same as Robert's. Perhaps we got them from the same source (Sistersrarities, IIRC).
Does the cassette single go for much on eBay?

Yeah I got them from Sisters Rarities.
