Anyone seen John Cale on his UK tour yet? I caught him at Bristol on Friday night and impressed and it gave hope for someone like Eldritch. Cale played for about 2 hours, mixing old new and even throwing a medley of Femme Fatale and Rosegarden Funeral Of Sores. No Venus In Furs though.
Not bad for a 63 year old man, he looked and sounded alot younger.
As I said there's hope for Eldo yet. Cale released his first solo album in years with Hobosapiens and followed it last year with Black Acetate. Both are well worth a listen for those of you with an open mind and were well received.
And wasn't A Rock And A Hard Place about Cale? Or did I miss hear on a bootleg somewhere. A question for the trainspotters among us.
