Tomoz - Ben discussing Sisters on Total Rock

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Hi folks,

Spotted this on Ben's Myspace...

"At 11am (GMT) tomorrow morning (12/02/06), Total Rock are going to interview me regarding the imminent Sisters of Mercy tour. The site's www.totalrock.com, so check it out on the morrow..."

Perhaps we'll get some interesting goss? Then again, knowing Von's secrecy about...well, everything...perhaps not. Worth a listen, though.

I wish I'd called my dog 'Napalm'.

You've caught us at a good time HDN - if it wasn't for the tour activity there would be very little Eldritch based discussion.

Are you interested in nose hair trimmers? :innocent:

Nose trimmers? Are you selling them? Are they sacred items? Or Ebay-fodder?

Regarding the upcoming tour...will you be going to a few dates or just the one?

Cool! I've not seen the Sisters before, so I'm not sure what to expect. I've heard rumours of copious smoke and Von in yellow/pink/green/whatever most screams "we're not Goth" coloured suits....

Gospel or just goss?

Nice. Cheers HDN. As I'll be 'entertaining' house guests (no Steve, not for cash, more's the pity), I'll miss it, so a transcription, general gist, whatever, would be good.

Oh god, I said 'whatever'. Kill me now.
There is increasing evidence to suggest that Chris may have been being sarcastic.

Breaking the LAW!

Hmmm...I watched the "More" video recently...Von just looked so god-damn cool in it. Not Halford-esque in the slightest. A little bit Ian Astbury-ish in his finest era.

Mind you, The Dr Jeep suit was, and let's be fair, an issue. Although Von doubtless had some wonderfully "ironic" reason for wearing it. I can imagine, when justifying it to the remainder of the band, he would have used words like "pastiche". I fear he may be a little too intelligent for the rest of us sometimes...!

Hmm, I was trying to working out a name for my dog starting with a V at the time, but I didn't feel too much for Valentine, so in the end I went for the unrelated Veloce

Welcome indeed :D
