Okies..

Anyone here got a program that I could get off them for converting MPEG2 files into AVI format or any other that could be used/supported by either Premiere V6 or Sony Vegas video editing software?

I got myself a DVD player for the computer that allows me to record up to 15 minutes from a DVD but it saves as MPEG2, which alas I can't use with either of the above programs. And I'm too much of a tightwad to fork out £15 or so for a licence for Blaze Media Pro, which I found did a not too bad job of converting in the demo version..

Any help greatly appreciated..

I thought Sony Vegas could handle any MPEG2 file thrown at it. (It can also handle Vob files ripped from a DVD).
You could try Alive Video Converter clicky to change it into a format it will use.

Nah I was having problems with it yesterday, figured its easier just to convert the files into another format..

I think it could be the actual quality of the clips more than anything else..

Anyways, thanks for the tip, found a download of a later version of the Alive program, plus a serial number..

skinflint, moi?

preposterous...
