hi, my name is thorburn de bergi.
i want to tell you about a story about a rock & roll band. i first saw them way back in '84 at the danceteria in nyc. i say saw, but i couldnt see a thing because of the dry ice.
this band recently toured the us of a & this journal captures the sights, the sounds....and the smells of a hard working band on the road.
i hope you enjoy it.

scene 1 - jfk immigration control.
the 'none more black' leg of the 2006 world tour gets off to a nervous start as group leader & singer andrew st eldritch* causes a mild panic when the jet lagged singer forgets to turn out his pockets & his sisters of mercy zippo lighter sets off the metal detector alarm.
the resulting bag search reveals;
1000 marboro's
1 chicago police jacket
1 motorhead t shirt
1 bush/noriega t shirt
1 silver jump suit
10 pairs of sunglasses.
several football shirts ( st pauli, barcelona & shrewsbury town ( away))
1 dat tape marked "jazz odyssey"
despite several pairs of raised eyebrows, the band pass through immigration without further incident & make the connecting flight to vegas.
*the patron saint of quality leather jackets.

perfect.
note the chrome exhaust pipes & functional tachometer.
for those of you with an eye for detail, you can see one of the band's special amps in the bottom left hand corner of that video clip.
{asks for the picture of the amp from the marshall "one louder" range. if not, the battered one from the official website will do}.

charming!
and on a designer/printer geek note, you can go 'one blacker'
I myself have produced a document with two blacks in it.
Looks rather keen, if I do say so myself.

No we don't. We need to know what's what and if Mr. T can shed some light on to the bulk of the situation, I'd certainly appreciate it.
Please continue Mr. T with your tale.

apologies for the delay everyone, i was with the band's new guitarist waiting for the delay.
the band arrived in las vegas without any further hiccups & have checked into the motel.( there was a bit of a mix up with the rooms, but it got sorted out).
im currently filming backstage in the dressing room. everyones a bit nervous pre gig ( 1st night of tour) & there seem to be some catering 'issues', so im staying out of the way at the moment.
st eldritch seems to be having an animated discussion with the local promoter & they are looking at the contract.
wow, rock bands have some crazy riders in contracts, the sisters one being no exception.
i took a peek at it earlier - guess what some of the riders say...
