Thus Spoke Eldritch

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

A short interview for local newspaper in Warsaw:
http://www.zw.com.pl/artykul/4,348728_A ... slowo.html

Translation of the first paragraph: (may contain a lot of grammar mistakes ;) )
Q: The last TSOM studio recording is Vision Thing released in 1990. Why we have to wait so long for the new album?
A: It will be released soon. The songs are already recorded. I'm still trying to polish them. I want this album to be retrospective, to show changes that took place in the band in almost 20 years.
And also prove that I have't rested to my oars and that I hadn't laze, that media sugest from time to time.

I'm feeling a bit optimistic about this. It's an odd feeling.

I'm sure it'll pass soon

In the meantime: WOOOO!

Yes, that was my first thought. That it is just A.E's cruel sense of humor.

Of course, Von's definition of the word "soon" could be veeeery different from the regularly accepted one.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.

With the "new" songs presented in chronological order, the vocals getting progressively quieter on them. ;D

I think we all want to believe, but after what's happened in the past...? Naaaahhhhhh.

I won't believe it even when I have the album in my hand and have listened to it twenty times.

(But if it's true - which it isn't - then he's saying that it's an album of all the "new" songs they've been performing live for the majority of the band's existence.)

(Or, as he said almost 20 years, it's Vision Thing.)

Mind you, if the rumour about The Reptile House being resurrected are true - and evidence from the tour t-shirts is *maybe* that is true - then perhaps that is to back a new album.

Even a single would be good :)

A lot can be done in the studio.

Anyway, I guess it's a joke. His way of dealing with that '3 mln pounds' question over an over again.
