Live TV Appearences

Is the only live TV performance by The Sisters - in any incarnation - The Old Grey Whistle Test from 85?? I was looking on youtube but couldn't find anything beyond mimed sets. In fact I think the only time I've seen The Sisters live on telly is either the OGWT or a broadcast of Wake. There was the ...

Re: It was thirty years ago today...

Wow. That does not seem that long ago. An odd album. Remember really liking about half at the time but my appreciation for it has grown over the years - mainly due to the live performances and in particular those post the VT era

Re: The Quietus podcast reappraising Floodland

Thanks Big Si for the link! That was a very enjoyable hours listen. Some great points - I'd never previously considered in quite those terms how, as a youth, a particular record can help define and almost justify both your existance and ambition. I also found the points about Eldritchs supposed fail...

WEA FALAA 7" Singles

Just wondering if anyone can account for the relative scarcity of Body & Soul, Walk Away and No Time To Cry as singles as oppose to 12"? Compared to the 82/83 Mericiful Release era 7" and certainly those of Floodland and beyond, the 84/85 seem both rarer and slightly more expensive. I'...

How about a Sisters residency in Leeds for a week next Feb? Each night, the various line ups play a classic set list from their era, and at the end of the week, we get to vote who we'd like to see Andrew go on tour with? Then again, perhaps to democratic for Von. So how about the various incarnation...

Mental Heath Awareness

Hey everybody I've been a long time lurker, infrequent poster, on MyHeartland for about 10 years. I've never meet anyone on the site in person because I'm v shy but I'm aware of people from their posts and seeing them at gigs. There is a lot these days about mental health and dealing with depression...

How 'cool' are The Sisters in the 21cenury??l

Okay. Qualifying statement. I'm a 47 year old male, married with two kids. I love The Sisters. I became a fan with This Corrosion and have tried to see them whenever I can... which ended in 2016 At the moment, it's 3.00am in Dublin and I've been spending the last 3 hours drinking and watching the si...

That was a great show! On this tour, I did Glasgow, Belfast and then back home to Dublin for this. There was soo much smoke and I love the fog! If I remember correctly, they set of the fire alarms? The 2014/15 tours were really the band on a peak. Didn't seem to be just going thru the motions and El...
