Re: Mister Whammy's Amp!?!

Fender's two-point Trems are very very reliable, moreover, if you combine them with locking tuners and some graphite on the nut you are golden, if memory serves me well, that's what Ben uses on his strat as well. Thanks for the tip! So that's not a Floyd Rose? The last guitar I had with a whammy wa...

What ever happened to the Kramer guitar Andreas used to own/play? Is this one up for sale? If so...what would be the price.....and could I pick it up at his place?

Re: "Black Album" bootleg - Eldritch/Pearson demos

Yeah, Top Nite Out is the only one that's actually any good, but none of the rest even sound like the songs as we know them, although Crash & Burn could make a case for being a (very distant) second best. These will turn out to have been someone noodling in their bedroom with a PC, nothing more...

a fabulous interview! great work by Mark Andrews , who we all know has been after a one-on-one with Eldritch for what must be years. i'm sure the fact that he didnt get it until after finishing 'Paint My Name...' had nothing to do with any contrariness in the nature of Our Glorious Leader... :innoc...

Re: The star in the logo

This took me f**king ages to find....answers in the last line. From a new Australian interview: Interviewer (Adam de Ville): I was wondering with The Sisters of Mercy logo, how did that originally come about? Were there other designs that didn’t make it? Eldritch: Actually no, there never were any ...

The star in the logo

It might be me and it also might have been mentioned a million times before...but could it be that to the head in the logo the star surrounding it was inspired by THIS? I just noticed today while looking at a copy. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/4cAAAOSw ... -l1600.jpg

Re: Worst band you have seen live and why?

Second on the list most definitely is Marc Almond. What a pile of s**t. Way back when we went to a number of festivals to see the Girls and it almost seemed that every bloody time Marc Almond hit the stage before they were due. He has got one of those voices that I absolutely despise ..which turns a...

Re: Worst band you have seen live and why?

The worst band I have EVER seen was a local band called Schutzraum... They had a cheap casio keyboard, a s**t guitarist/bassist and a singer that was even worse.. They were all drunk and drugged as hell.. The vocalist went by the name of Kikker Stacheldraht..in English: Frog Barbwire... He couldn't ...

We have just lost the greatest guitarist ever..along with Jimi Hendrix. If it wasn't for him there would never have been guitarists like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, etc etc.... he revolutionized the whole guitar world....playing techniques, use of amps and effects, guitar design, amp desi...

Superb show last night. I really loved it. So much better than the last time in Paradiso. Great set, great versions of the songs, great atmosphere, stunning lightshow and finally less smoke. :) It was a great show, possibly my favourite of the dozen or so that I have seen in the last 10 years. My two added cents to the conversation. I have seen Sisters many times live, some of them recorded parts or whole gigs. There's only one job: singing along with a drum machine / backing track at the very right moment.

There's only one song to start with for ages now and still.

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die. :( I wachted this particular scene multiple times tonight whilst wa...
