Re: Sisters 2024?
Anyone have a presale code for LA? Anyone going to be in LA for a pre gig drink? I’m so excited to finally be seeing them after 35 years of waiting (assuming I can get tickets this time). Not really expecting much TBH from what I can tell they sound s**t these days, but I gotta finally check it off...

Pre/Post drinks: That part of town is a bit sh!t owing to its proximity to Times Square. Tentative proposal is Sean's Bar & Kitchen - decent beer/cider selection (anyone ordering Guinness n'Black is put on notice :D ), but open to other suggestions. When I saw The Cure there in 2008 I had pre s...

Re: Sisters 2024?
I made the mistake of reading the facebook comments about the tour. You'd swear there hadn't been a good Sisters gig since way back when...My fav complaint is that they don't play enough old stuff....Yeah I know some shows can be ahem problematic (here's looking at you Roundhouse last year) and the ...

Anywhere pre or post local(ish) I wonder? Leeds or the like? I'd love to go to New York but unless there's an upturn in arts funding this year it's a bit out of my league at the moment!

I'd add to it anything by The Ramones, the Clash (their best songs were covers) Thin Lizzy (terrible) Horslips (likewise) Bob Dylan (great songs when sung by other people), Neil Young (ditto) plus (for goth's sake) Bauhaus (great singles, terribly dull albums) and none of the post Sisters copyists h...

Weird Sisters Record Store Day Release Body and Soul/Walk Away. Presumably the two 12 inches together? Also Burning the Fields album for the Nephilim. Also weird.

As well as proposing the scorpion pits for anyone that dunks it goes without saying that anyone that thinks tea bags are in actually any way related to actual tea deserves to be shunned from polite society. There's a circle in Hell where people are forced to drink Yorkshire Tea for eternity. :twiste...

I always enjoy seeing the Sisters in Leeds. Though it has got a bit posh! I remember when I first saw the Merrion Centre a million years ago and thinking that was very impressive. We didn't really have a history of shopping centres over our way for very obvious reasons. Leeds had good record stores ...

Wasn't it around this time that "This Is This" by the MK Ultra appeared on Merciful Release... https://www.amazon.co.uk/This-Mk-Ultra/dp/B0000080LD Slightly off topic but I wonder if there was any involvement of Drug Free America in this given the song-title, Merciful Release and that DFA...

This Derry guy (ahem) thinks he was a bloody great songwriter. Rum, Sodomy and the Lash is a favourite album of mine. The romanticism of alcoholism and drug addiction is a sadly inevitable part of the eulogies. Addiction doesn't help genius despite what people say. Even the patron saint of poetic dr...

If I remember rightly, the tshirts were part of the rebrand, with new logo etc by Andrea White (if I've not forgotten her name). Of course, that design might've been used for a single but who knows? Apart from obviously.

It's got a similar logo to the 2015 etc shirts with a list of cities except Nottingham for some reason which has Rock City. Maybe somebody got confused? There's also a hoody. Thanks to MH for the info.
