i can't beleive that Ben wasn't able to provide them something written for the songs they had to learn. i guess it just wasn't written out?
really incredible that they had to figure it out on their own. amazing that they were able to do that - goes to show their talent!

Re: Record Store Day April 2024.
Why the weight is so important is a myth. It's the mastering & pressing that matters. This is nothing more than another WEA rip off store day cash grab. this is true. theoretically a thicker/heavier vinyl would be less likely to warp over time and would be more likely to stay put on the turntab...

Re: Chat GPT
I got a pair of final exams that I strongly believe were written by ChatGPT at the end of the last semester. What gave them away? Well, they were both in grammatically perfect and coherent English, which I find is very rare for undergraduates. But secondly, they were simultaneously detailed and sup...

Re: NEW SONGS!
... the promotional budget ... a label that will do things like put adverts in the press*, push any singles so they get on radio playlists, push for TV appearances, etc. The fact is though that the majors don't do any of that stuff with anyone other than the major chart stars any more. Also in musi...

Re: NEW SONGS!
seems to me that von's problem with releasing new music was (mainly) being pissed at record companies.
in this day and age, he can easily do anything he wants to do without releasing through a major label.
he's got nothing to lose by doing it DIY.
but....then...it's von.....

Re: famous covers
Mark Morriss of the Bluetones did a great version of Lucretia (My Reflection) a few years back. The video's a right laugh where he plays all his band members, with the singer character resplendent in Aviators and leather gloves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8Zt8hMl-No I quite like that....a dif...

Re: NEW SONGS!
I'd love to hear Halford sing This Corrosion. I'm sure it would be better than Meatloaf's Godawful butchering of "More" . OMG thanks for reminding me  :urff:  yikes I had never heard of this and decided to google it. I lasted about 30 seconds which is time I'll never get back....

thanks a lot guys. Yes, I am case (A). I just want to listen to stuff. I am looking for downloads, not for purchasing so I will peruse what you sent. Looks like there's a post restriction to access the sharing board on here, which is fair enough. Do either of you know how many posts I need to contri...

Best bootlegs?
hello
I'm looking to expand my sisters collection with some good bootlegs.
Both live and unreleased track compilations.
Where should I start looking?
Thanks in advance!
