I thought of doing the same thing too when I have more time, but I personally would love to transfer the original tapes to Pro Tools in a state of the art studio and see what could be conjured up... :D

Re: Hi from a new recruit!

Hi all, I've only just found this site so I'd like to say Hi from me! I'm Lin and I live in Portsmouth. Back in the day I was also a fan of New Model Army, and Spear of Destiny, and I was always (and will always be) massively in love with David Bowie! Hello Lin and welcome from another long time Si...

Re: First & Last & Always at Forty

I listened to them and have found them quite nice and listenable... Vocal and bass seem to have a bit more prominence and clarity in the mix. As for compression, perhaps, but I didn't find it unduly detrimental. Given this was done ostensibly by one person and a tool available on the web, I wonder ...

Ha ha technology eh! I still prefer old fashioned paper tickets for that reason, and you get a keepsake for your trouble :) Same. But well, the modern world is what it is. The Black Sabbath Back To The Beginning thingy is strictly digi only so I'm glad I've got my fancy phone or we wouldn't ...

Aw thanks Violet, don't worry, there's always a way! 😂 If you genuinely can't access your roundhouse wallet then contact them via their website, they're super-helpful. Last coupla times we've gone to Sisters shows there I had a nokia phone so zero use for digital ticketing systems, they sorted out ...

Re: Re-re-run of currently watching

I've had a subscription to Disney + for some time, partly to have access to the whole Star Wars universe, but not much time to watch much TV: which of these series is actually worth investing time in to start? The Mandalorian is an excellent place to start. Totally swerve The Book of Boba Fett on a...

The band and WEA may have done nothing to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of FALAA, but on my blog I did a post looking back at the mixed reaction at the time to an album now hailed as a classic: https://sistersfan.blogspot.com/2025/03/forty-years-ago-today-first-and-last.html Thank you for post...

Star Wars Skeleton Crew which isn't a million miles from The Goonies in Space and no worse for it. After loads of Star Wars spin offs of increasingly less fun this is a welcome relief. Even Jude Law is good in it. I've had a subscription to Disney + for some time, partly to have access to the whole...

I've just had a look and it's on their site and it was mentioned in the Virgin.Net interview in May 1997: https://www.the-sisters-of-mercy.com/gen/vnettext/vnettext.htm William and I haven't really talked about the Internet; we've tended to correspond more by fax and letter.
