RIP Brian James

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

So sad to hear of this...

Made a huge impact on the UK music scene and listening to New Rose tonight makes me realise just how timeless that song is..

RIP Brian :( cheers for the tunes! Saw them a couple of times in the early 90s where they played pretty much just the early stuff. On the one hand I'd been hoping to hear some newerish stuff live (Strawberries, Phantasmagoria, Anything) and didn't, on the other hand I pogoed up and down for an hour or so in a moshpit wonderland.

Yes, Lords Of The New Church - heavily underrated. I had almost forgotten. Must play 'Lord's Prayer' tonight. And 'Holy War'. Sorry, but that's my connection with Brian James, The Damned was (just a little) too early for me.

Sorry to hear of this as well; I do love that first Damned album...New Rose on repeat. Sad that the players of that great music are departing one by one more frequently these days :(
