Bauhaus - Live in the Studio 1979

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Apologies for taking advantage of the forum for a non-Sisters trade, but just in case anyone here is interested....

I recently downloaded this from easytree.org, and due to a childish schoolboy error on my part, burned the first disc in such a way that there are big nasty gaps between the tracks.

If anyone here is interested in trading for this disc, you are more than welcome. Otherwise, it's just going in the bin, or making a nice shiny drinks coaster.

The CD was originally included with the 'Beneath the Mask' book (now out of print, as far as I am aware). The details are:

1. in the night
2. a god in an alcove
3. dark entries
4. telegram sam
5. nerves
6. honeymoon croon
7. kamikazi dive
8. shows (fragment)

"The compact disc has been assembled from the band's archives. During an early 1979 session, they had some extra time at the end so ran through, live, most of the other numbers that they had written. David kept a cassette of this 'show' and it is this that forms the basis for the CD. The quality of the performance is, to be kind, rough, but it does provide a fascinating insight for fans into Bauhaus' very early genesis."

i have a copy of this, purchased a few weeks ago directly from mr brooksbank himself (the chap who wrote the book). appears he had a few extra copies of the cd left over after he'd sold all the books.

there's a good review of it here:

I replied to your post QB but it wouldn't let me login, so...

I was fortunate to see them at Tiffany's Ballroom, Glasgow on the Sky's Gone Out/Press The Eject Tour.
Awesome!
I have the photos to prove it.
Gotham was a great return, wish they could have made an album on the back of it.

The some of the whole is greater than the parts.
