On another forum I'm on, nested quote tags don't work. A quote-within-a-quote is just ignored (or deleted) by the board software. So you can't get rubbish like we've had in the past like this:

but then the whole vortex sillyness can be quite amusing ;D :lol: :twisted:

"vbulletin" only quotes the last quote, and there is a modification for phpBB that does something similar.

Right, yeah the other board is on vbulletin software.

Most people aren't that bothered I guess; it's funny when people do it deliberately, but sometimes people do it accidentally and then it's a pain in the you-know-where. Especially if someone along the line has f*cked up the [quote] tags :lol:
