Super Chelsea!

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

You realised I'm going to get endlessly pestered about this when I go to Russia in the summer?

It was bad enough last year, but now Abramovich has actually won something .....

Congrats on winning it. And special congrats to Ranieri for proving that money alone can't buy trophies.
Names are just a souvenir ...

And unfortunately, Dean Sauders. :x

As does Paul.

You've been remarkably subdued about your successes so far this season John. I guess it would be churlish to complain now. Let the carpet-bombing commence.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.

So much success; so little time to carpet-bomb.

Bolton, eh? Pam's gonna be a bit miffed that you didn't drop in for a cup of tea on the way when I tell her.

It's funny, but it felt a little bit anti-climactic finally winning the title this way, because for a while - and everyone else thought so, so I don't think this is arrogance - it felt like when, not if. Or maybe I just can't compute the idea of my team of misfiring Blues finally being champignons. Oh well. I shall enjoy letting it sink in. I have a feeling this might just be the first instalment... Roll on Tuesday, anyway...

Aye, congratulations from a Man City blue, it does all feel a bit of an anti climax from here. Loads of money, top players and the top coach leads to champioship. As an observer it was a foregone conclusion from far too early...

Top coach underlined as I do recognise it's not just money.

(What's that, we played them twice? Beat them and drew one you say?  )

not wishing to be a party pooper...but:-

with £214,000,000 spent even Sedgley Blind School Old Boys XI would have won the title....

still, respect either way, 50 years is a long time to wait for a title and i am sure a few ales will be quaffed in celebration....

reckon can they do the Champ League as well???

Ales? I very much doubt that any Chelsea fans know what an 'ale' is.

Let's face it, if they don't win it this year, they'll spend another few hundred million quid in the summer to make sure they win it next time around.

Not that I'm bitter, or anything.

Money is certainly an essential element here. But it's not everything. It's a moot point whether Ranieri would have ever won the league, even if we kept on spending 100 million every year. It's also a moot point whether Mourinho would have still won even if we had only spent 30 million. I don't know the answer, but I do know that OVER TWO YEARS most of that spending money was wasted, and had little effect on the final result. And believe me, whatever Chelsea fans say, we'd much rather have done it without the money. If what Kenyon says is true, we may have to from now on...

Didn't see many snake-belts tonight. Shame.

Liverpool annilation against AC. Oh dear. I thought we'd struggle in the final and be the underdogs.

We'll all cringe. :urff:

Liverpool will do OK in the final. Usual early goal, then defend like mad for 85 minutes - job done.

Aah stop being nice to them. I don't think Jose will there long. Mind you, there's something a bit sus about our Alain 'Reggie' Perrin.
