THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Yeah, leave it to me...
She' s all yours
Oh dear. The Dirty Funker mix thing was bad, but at least they tried. All this is is the first intro bit sampled, bit of echo added on, repeated with some stops and starts for 2 mins then the original song is tacked on. Right at the end they use a delay thing to stretch out the final "No!".
I'll post it up later, but it's really not worth it.
I just managed to download half of the Alice (Doktor Dirty Funkers Avalanche Dub) which is half way decent, better than the regular Dirty Funkers as it doesn't try to be much more than a dance tune as opposed to a version of Alice. IYSWIM

Well, that's why it's an edit and not a remix! It really is just the song with a few touches to make it easier for dj's to mix it with other records... (e.g. the longer intro). I agree that it doesn't beat the original, but I still kinda like it (...but hey, I am some kind of a dj... )
Weird - I'm sure I remember starting a topic about this vinyl a while ago but it ain't there no more! Has there been a tidy up recently? Unfortunately new job means not much time spent here Anyway, I spotted this vinyl while browsing Discogs (release page is at http://www.discogs.com/release/406830) and snapped it up from Juno but didn't think there was really much difference between it and the original, just a few minor fx.

I remember reading something which someone had posted, but I could not find it either. If you posted it in March, it may have disappeared after the hack.
