Certainly confirms mine if I spend an hour writing about SSV.

Heh, that's probably longer than Von took to write it.
Actually, I was recording the vox for one of my songs earlier, and for one verse, I did it in about 3 minutes. Whilst talking to a friend on MSN inbetween "takes". Not needing a producer or studio, this whole thing can be done in that short space of time and sound fine.
I was thinking about SSV when I was doing it. Technically, if I'd not done any of these synth lines or anything, but had the lyrics and a vague idea of what they were to be, and had the keyboardist here right now.. we could probably have then done by lunchtime tomorrow.
2 days seems nothing to record a album in, and that's why people believe it to be evidence of the lack of quality, but since neither Von nor myself have had to go into a full studio, record drums and guitar, master it, choose from the many different mixes, it really doesn't take that long.
It's nice, simple music, and since I'm involved it all from writing the first lyrics, to printing the CDs, I don't have to worry about some s**t producer f**king it all up, or a label worrying that "it won't sell as well as it could" without bringing in hundreds of session musicians.
