so, i found these instructions on getting to tilburg from the airport at schipol:

From Schiphol Airport (near Amsterdam) you can travel directly from the airport to Tilburg Railway Station (for Tilburg town), changing in Rotterdam. Travel time from Schiphol Airport to Tilburg is 1 hour and 46 minutes. Train tickets are available for first class (24,80 euro; more luxurious) and second class (15,50; common) train coaches.

From Schiphol Airport you can also travel directly from the airport to Tilburg West Railway Station (for Tilburg University campus), changing in Duivendrecht and 's-Hertogenbosch. Travel time from Schiphol Airport to Tilburg West is 1 hour and 37 minutes. Train tickets cost 24,80 euro (first class) or 15,50 euro (second class).

question is, what do we want? the town or the uni campus? we're staying at the ibis here so i assume its the "tilburg town" train i need? changing at rotterdam?

in which case a taxi from tilburg town station to the hotel will be the order of the day.

anyone got a good map of tilburg that shows the station(s), the gig venue and maybe even the ibis?

De Malle Heks is a shop for people interested in witchcraft and Wicca. But it's also very suitable for gothics. The jewelry here is amazing. And the arange of statuettes and other crafted objects is unique. Also some great dresses for goths and some nice literature on Wicca 101. Even I, as a non-goth / non-witch liek to come here and enjoy the atmosphere.

I absolutely lov ethe Celtic jewelry. Especially the silver pendants.

as far as i'm aware he's currently sat on a train heading up to leeds, but i'm sure he will fill you in on the detail beforehand

I'm staying at the Mercure Hotel in the centre of Tilburg and about 200 yards from the venue.

for those of us who are going to be there whole day maybe we can meet up at the venue in the afternoon and decide what to do (going out for a drink, shopping, ....)

And for those who were graced by her presence last night, she is an 'exciteable' lady.

So, for those interested meet in the bar of the Hotel Lindenboom where the majority of us are staying between 6-7pm. Or earlier. Small 18 room hotel in sleepy dutch town gets invaded by Heartland. Groovy.

Then we can wander up to the venue and find a bar and maybe go Eldritch spotting.

@ Scardy - Good to meet you last night. The Lindenboom is a stones throw away from the Mercure on the way to Club 013.

Right, I'm all sorted with arrangements and stuff and after last nights 'episode', all I have to do is run through the list of those coming and work out which lady I'll decide to drunkenly collapse on during the gig. Laydeez, I give you fair warning ...
